Auction Preview March 29th
Michael Bowman's 2pm auction at Chudleigh Town Hall on Saturday 29th March will include an extensive array of antiques and collectors' items.
The jewellery is led by the 2.5 carat diamond solitaire in 18ct white gold with ambitions of £6,000-8,000 and also offers a 3.5 carat natural Ceylon sapphire & diamond ring, with hopes of £2,000-3,000. A French lizard brooch, dating from circa 1900, is set with numerous rose cut diamond scales and is looking for bids in the region of £2,000-3,000.
A gent's stainless steel Rolex Explorer wrist watch comes with box and original paperwork. It hopes to find bids of £3,000-4,000. A lady's gold Rolex with green 'Stella' dial is estimated at £3,500-5,000.
Militaria will feature prominently but eyebrows will also be raised at the prospect of 400 cigars! A sealed box of 50 King Edward Imperials, for example, should attract £80-120, whilst 146 Hamlets hope for £100-150.
