Some results from our most recent sale
Items of interest also featured in other sections of the sale, however, such as the early black & white woodcut print by Albrecht Durer (1471-1528). His classic depiction of the Last Supper attracted a collector from the USA on the internet, who paid £1,200.
Four telephone bidders competed for the 18" high pair of Japanese bronze vases with gold decoration by Eisuke, which climbed above their estimate to make £4,400.
Michael Bowman's March 28th auction held at Chudleigh Town Hall proved to be very successful event with the customary strong demand for jewellery and watches.

The 1971 Rolex Submariner on offer led the watches with a bid of £7,500 from a local collector. A more traditional offering was the 18ct gold minute repeating pocket watch, which also stayed locally at £1,700.
Local collectors also secured the star lot in the jewellery section, a certified 10 carat Ceylon sapphire & diamond cluster ring, for £9,500. A large diamond cluster ring sold to an internet bidder from Kent for £4,000.
